Every MLB prop bettor should work an Ohtani wager into their daily portfolio.

The on-field exploits of the overwhelming AL MVP favorite and rampant speculation about his future team are dominating the current MLB cycle.

In the short term, the L.A. Angels’ star has been dominating New York Yankees pitching, going a combined 4-for-7 with three RBIs and two runs over the first two games of their series.

Ohtani has driven in a run in four straight games (five total RBIs), so we’ll swoop up the plus-money odds on him, adding to his streak Wednesday (7:07 p.m. ET).

Verlander and the New York Mets are heavy favorites Wednesday against the visiting Chicago White Sox.

New York won the opening contest of the three-game series Tuesday night in an 11-10 slugfest.

Expect far fewer fireworks in Game 2, especially with Verlander on the mound. He’s allowed five or fewer runs in five of his last six starts, including four straight.

The lowly White Sox, current owners of the fifth-worst winning percentage (.417) in the majors, can’t be counted on to offer much resistance on consecutive nights.

Atlanta, MLB’s winningest team, has been in one of its worst funks of the season, losing three straight and giving up a whopping 30 runs in the process.

Look for the 39-year-old Morton to settle things down Wednesday (7:20 p.m.) after the Arizona Diamondbacks exploded for a 16-13 win in Atlanta the previous night.

The veteran Braves starter has won his last five starts, allowing seven total earned runs during that stretch.
