West Ham and Arsenal endured very different fates when they were last in Premier League action on Super Sunday

David Moyes will welcome Mikel Arteta's side at the London Stadium this weekend

The Hammers fell 3-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, despite a strong first half, whilst Arsenal’s result when Liverpool came to town had manager Mikel Arteta leaping for joy.

A trio of forwards in the form of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard scored the goals against the league leaders, making it three consecutive league wins for the Gunners.

West Ham, meanwhile, have been struggling with injuries recently and that has been reflected in their results, the last victory coming at the end of December against Arsenal of all teams.

That midweek clash made it two wins in two for the Claret and Blues in this fixture this campaign, the other coming in the EFL Cup back in November.

Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos scored in the aforementioned league win against his former employers, and this will of course be another reunion between West Ham and Declan Rice as well. West Ham will welcome Arsenal to their neck of the woods at 14:00 on Sunday.

West Ham United vs Arsenal Prediction

As we’ve alluded to, form favours this title-chasing Arsenal side (6/1 on Ladbrokes). West Ham do tend to show up for London derbies, as can be seen from those two victories over the Gunners earlier in the season, and so this is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Having caused Man United problems in the first 45 at Old Trafford, the Irons will be keen to bounce back from that 3-0 defeat. Brazilian Lucas Paqueta has been absent in recent weeks and left a gap in the West Ham midfield as a result, something which favours Arsenal.

That win over Liverpool was a major statement of intent even if Kai Havertz didn’t thrive in the striker position, so the probable outcome is that Arsenal will win when they travel across the capital as they look to continue their title charge.

West Ham United vs Arsenal Tips

Arsenal to Win Both Halves

Arsenal are certainly the favourites for this derby in the capital, making a few markets difficult to bet on with underwhelming odds. One slight differential that could be worth a punt, which is being priced at 29/10 by Ladbrokes, is for Arsenal to win both halves.

The Gunners came within moments of doing this against Liverpool and if they play at a similar level at the London Stadium, then Saka and co can surely put West Ham to the sword.

Leandro Trossard Last Goalscorer

Leandro Trossard scored the Arsenal goal to put the icing on the cake in the win over Liverpool. The Belgian has regularly been an impact substitute for the Gunners and that proved to be the case once again at Anfield.

BoyleSports are offering odds of 15/2 for Trossard to be the last goal scorer of the game against West Ham, a bet that does come with a slight risk. He could very well start or not play at all, but if the winger is to be brought off the bench then this bet has the prospect of being a winner.
