Gunners misfiring on the road

Arsenal may have got their title challenge back on track with a 3-1 home win against Liverpool last weekend but the Gunners have struggled away from their north London base recently and face an uphill battle against a solid West Ham.

Mikel Arteta’s side have won just one of their past five away games and have already lost twice to the Hammers this season, with the most recent being a 2-0 defeat in the Premier League at the Emirates in December. This leaves West Ham unbeaten in their previous three clashes with their London rivals and they have lost only two of their past seven home meetings with the Gunners.

The hosts have lost just two of their 16 competitive home games this season and the last of those defeats was way back in October.

The Hammers have picked up results against Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea and, of course, Arsenal at the London Stadium this term and they can upset the odds to take at least a point off the Gunners on Sunday.

Kudus can strike

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has proved an inspired signing for West Ham since joining in the summer from Dutch side Ajax and has already scored against Arsenal this term, netting the winner in their 3-1 Carabao Cup win in November.

He has scored 10 goals for the Hammers, of which nine have come at the London Stadium. This translates to an average of one goal every 115 minutes on home turf. He has netted six times in his previous nine appearances for club and country, suggesting he could have a big part to play against the Gunners.

Saka worth a shot in bet builder

Kudus, who scored against the Gunners earlier this season, is regularly hitting the target, testing the goalkeeper at least once in eight of his past 12 matches for club and country, including in four of his previous five home appearances for the Hammers.

Martin Odegaard may not be the first name that springs to mind when you think of the fouls market but the Arsenal captain has averaged just over one offence per 90 minutes this season and has been reprimanded plenty of times in recent weeks. The Norwegian has committed at least one foul in 12 of his past 13 starts for the Gunners and in each of his previous eight.

Bukayo Saka is seventh for shots taken in the Premier League this campaign, with 57 attempts in total. The Arsenal star registered an incredible nine shots in the Gunners’ previous meeting with West Ham and has had at least three shots in nine of his past 11 appearances, totalling 43 shots in this period.
