Adopting its traditional mid-March position in the sporting calendar, the 2024 Cheltenham Festival will get under way on Tuesday 12th March and go right through until Friday 15th March. The action will kick off at 13:30 on each day and the first race to open the curtain on the 28-race extravaganza will be the Grade 1 Supreme Novices' Hurdle, which will see the premier novice hurdlers do battle in one of the most prestigious races of the week.

A host of top class Graded races will take place each day during the seven-race cards, while there will be some devilishly difficult handicaps to work out each day, but the day one showpiece will be the Champion Hurdle which could see last year's emphatic winner Constitution Hill look to retain his crown. Day two will see the speedy chasers take centre stage with the Queen Mother Champion Chase being the feature contest, while the Stayers' Hurdle will be the main event on the Thursday.

The iconic Cheltenham Gold Cup will be the main event during Friday's card and it will see Galopin Des Champs bid to retain his staying crown for Willie Mullins, but last year's sparkling winner will have an abundance of top class rivals taking hom on March 15 with the likes of Bravemansgame and Gerri Colombe sure to be two of the leading contenders.
