Two of the earliest qualifiers for UEFA Euro 2024 will meet in Lille on Tuesday when France host Scotland in a friendly.

Paris St-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Les Bleus won 2-1 away to the Netherlands on Friday, a day after Scotland lost 2-0 in Spain to miss out on reaching the finals at the first available opportunity as their perfect five-game start to their qualifying campaign came to an end.

Steve Clarke's side were able to celebrate joining France in Germany despite not kicking a ball on Sunday, when La Roja's win in Norway ensured Scotland made a second successive edition of the finals with two group stage games to spare.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch it across the world, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

France vs Scotland lineups, team news

Kylian Mbappe watched on but was rested during France's training session in Lille on Sunday, and the top scorer in Ligue 1 — the 24-year-old has seven goals in four games at club level — could feature against Scotland.

After missing some of his country's training sessions with a sore thigh and remaining on the bench against the Netherlands, Ousmane Dembele could be involved. Head coach Didier Deschamps is expected to rotate his starting side to give game time to several players who did not play in Amsterdam.

France projected lineup (4-3-3, right to left): Areola (GK) — Gusto, Pavard, Todibo, Theo Hernandez — Fofana, Camavinga, Rabiot — Thuram, Giroud, Dembele

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney, who is on loan at Real Sociedad, missed Scotland's defeat in Seville and was replaced in their lineup by Scott McKenna.

Captain Andy Robertson and Brentford’s Aaron Hickey have both left the squad because of injuries. As a result, Sturm Graz full-back Max Johnston has received his first call-up.

Scotland projected lineup (5-4-1, right to left): Kelly (GK) — Patterson, Souttar, Cooper, Hendry, Taylor — Brown, Gilmour, McLean, Armstrong — Adams

France vs Scotlandprediction, odds

France have won their last five friendlies against Scotland including a 3-0 home victory when the teams last met in 2016, although they lost this fixture 1-0 home and away in Euro 2008 qualifying.

The hosts have the superior squad but, with neither side facing a consequential fixture until June, the number and nature of the changes each manager makes could have the greatest bearing on the result.

Prediction: France 2-1 Scotland
