Monmiral is the early favourite in the Dipper novice chase. Thunder Rock is favourite ahead of Monmira. Beauport has kept good company in a couple of chases. Harper's Brook could be a useful handicapper. The winner will be decided on the basis of the distance. It will take place on Saturday at 2.30pm. There are six horses in this race. Mon Miral, Thunder rock, Beau port, Harper Brook, Barichello, Solo and Millers Bank. They are all going to be ridden by the same trainer. He will have to concede 5lb to MonMiral and Thunder.

Monmiral is chasing his first win over fences. He finished second to Jonbon in November. Thunder Rock is unbeaten over the fences and won at Ascot. He made his chase debut for trainer Olly Murphy over two miles. The race is 2.5 miles in distance. It is the toughest test for Thunder rock so far.

Beauport's trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies hopes for a softer ground. Patrick Neville hopes his horse will improve from his win at Ballygrifincottage. Ben Pauling's horse Harper's Brook needs a stronger race. Monmiral is keen to take on Monmaral in a hot novice chase.
