Why is everyone discounting Drake Maye, UNC as possible Playoff team?
The North Carolina Tar Heels are 9-1 and can make the College Football Playoff this season. They are the Rodney Dangerfield of the Power Five. Mack Brown has arguably his best team to date in Chapel Hill.
UNC is in the College Football Playoff mix. Drake Maye is a first-year starter at quarterback. The Tar Heels are alive and heading to Charlotte out of the ACC Coastal. UNC has to play Georgia Tech and NC State to avoid crashing the party. The ACC Atlantic is an abomination of a college football division. Duke is likely to finish second place. GeorgiaTech fired its head coach and Miami is not The U yet. Clemson gets the benefit of doubt. They play in a tougher ACC division and beat everybody out the Atlantic. Pitt has regressed. Virginia schools are horrendous under new regimes. Miami schools is so not yet The United.
