Why Vladimir Tarasenko is (not) here to stay

The St. Louis Blues are in first place in the NHL. Vladimir Tarasenko is having his best season with 33 points in 33 games with 14 goals. He's getting back in defensive zone more and using his underrated speed to defend. His plus rating is down this season, but he's still a good player. He needs to focus more when he plays. At 30 years old, snipers don't exactly exit the game first. If durable and effective, they can play for a while. They can put up 30-35 goals and 35-45 assists. The attention and game-planning other teams will do for him will open up opportunities for his teammates.
