Will Pinatubo emulate Frankel or Celtic Swing when he tackles the 2,000 Guineas?

Pinatubo is the most exciting three-year-old since Frankel almost a decade ago. He came within touching distance of Celtic Swing’s 130 rating achieved when winning the 1994 Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster.

Pinatubo is preparing for the 2,000 Guineas. Frankel and Celtic Swing won the Guines in 1995 and 2000 respectively.

Celtic Swing won the Greenham Stakes at Newbury in preparation for the 2,000 Guineas. Pennekamp passed him at the Dip and won by a head. Pinatubo will try to emulate Frankel when he tackles the Guines.

Pinatubo will race in the 2,000 Guineas.

Frankel won the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket in 2011. Pinatubo will try to emulate Frankel's performance. The horse was the favourite. He won by six lengths. The winner's pacemaker Rerouted was drawn in stall 13 whereas Frankel was in the one gate.
