Witch Hazel looks to Plant One on Shady Well. Poulin in O T wins the Frost King Oct. 14 at Woodbine.

The Shady Well and Clarendon stakes are $150,000 2-year-old stakes at Woodbine on Saturday. The stakes draw six and five starters, respectively. Witch Hazel is a first-time winner who is trained by Katerina Vassilieva. She finished fifth in the Wood bine Cares Stakes on October 8. Vassesiliev is expecting a strong effort from her first year filly. She has a record of 1-1- 1 from five starts. Her last start was scratched due to a virus. It was going to be a better distance (7 furlongs) for her.
