Wizards vs. Spurs prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Value on total)

The San Antonio Spurs are sitting No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama for the remainder of the Summer League, but the team still has a lot to look forward to in Tuesday night’s matchup against the Washington Wizards.

Washington is 1-1 so far in Las Vegas, beating the Boston Celtics on Sunday to secure its first win of the summer.

The Spurs, fresh off a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, are looking to keep their strong summer going, as they’ve played in the California Classic and the Las Vegas Summer League.

Julian Champagnie has been a star for the Spurs in the Summer League, scoring 20 or more points on three different occasions. He could be a driving force for the team with Wembanyama sitting.

The Wizards – led by Johnny Davis, Bilal Coulibaly and Patrick Baldwin Jr. did score 103 points in their game against Boston, so we could be in for a show in this game.

Let’s dive into the odds and my best bet:

I like the Spurs in this game, but my best bet is actually going to be on the OVER.

The Spurs have put up a ton of points this summer, even when Wemby wasn’t playing during the California Classic.

Spurs’ scoring in Summer League

The Spurs have actually done a better job scoring without the No. 1 overall pick, and a 1-for-17 shooting night from Malaki Branham certainly didn’t help the team on Sunday.

The Wizards, on the other hand, have scored 103 and 83 points in their first two Summer League games, a solid floor for us to consider the OVER at 181.5.

If Champagnie and company can return to their form from the California Classic, the Spurs should be in line for another high-scoring performance.

Pick: OVER 181.5 (-110)
