The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup gets underway Thursday in Auckland, with co-host country New Zealand taking on Norway in Auckland. Thirty two of the world’s top teams are vying for their place in soccer history, but World Cup futures odds have the U.S. team as the heavy favorites to repeat again.

Here are our Women's World Cup picks, including U.S. women's soccer best bets and other World Cup futures odds.

Women's World Cup picks: U.S. women's soccer best bets, top futures odds

We scoured the web for all of the expert takes to bring you the top futures bets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

U.S. women's soccer odds: USWNT to win the Women's World Cup (+240 or better)

USWNT superstar Megan Rapinoe announced her retirement ahead of her third World Cup, which could be used as extra fuel for the world’s top team. Having won the previous two World Cups, the U.S. Women’s National Team is the favorite to secure a third-straight — and world-leading fifth overall.

Should they secure their third straight World Cup, they would be the first team in men or women’s soccer to do so.

This will be a different World Cup for the USWNT. This will be its first World Cup lead by skipper Vlatko Andonovski, and will feature young striker Sophia Smith. The Portland Thorns star and reigning NWSL MVP appears ready to introduce herself on the world stage in New Zealand.

Women's World Cup futures odds: New Zealand vs. Norway to score 1.5 total goals (+333 or better)

Tournament co-host New Zealand open the tournament with a fixture against Norway, and you can bet the Kiwi Ferns will be looking to channel the home crowd energy in Auckland to propel them to a win. They’ll be greeted with a challenging attack of Norway.

Led by Barcelona forward Caroline Graham Hansen, this match could just as easily turn into a high-scoring affair as a defensive war of attrition. +333 on under 1.5 looks enticing.

2023 Women's World Cup best bets: England to finish as runner-up (+550 or better)

In spite of the injury bug wreaking havoc on the English side, the Lionesses should be favored heavily throughout the World Cup — that is, until they meet the U.S. Women’s National Team in the Final. Yes, they will be without their captain Leah Williamson and sorely missing Beth Mead in attack, but the world’s fourth-ranked squad and 2022 Euro winners are still well-positioned to make a run at their first World Cup trophy.
