WTA Tokyo Day 3 Predictions Including Badosa vs Zheng
Day 3 at the 2022 WTA Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo is stacked. Caroline Garcia takes on Shuai Zhang, Elena Rybakina and Liudmila Samsonova take on Elena Badosa and Qinwen Zheng.
Elise Mertens and Claire Liu are playing each other for the first time. MERTEN beat Qiang Wang in three games in the opening round. Liu beat Alison Riske.
Despina Papamichail has won three matches in Tokyo already. Garbine Muguruza is yet to play in this tournament. Papamiachail is familiar with the courts, but Mugurraza has the talent edge.
Caroline Garcia is the favourite to win the match against Shuai Zhang. Garcia has won the tournament twice before. She lost to Zhang in the US Open semi-final.
Elena Rybakina and Liudmila Samsonova are playing each other. Ry bakin was runner-up to Katerina Siniakova at Portoroz. Samsonová hasn't played since the US Open.
Paula Badosa has only won three matches in her last four events. She will play Qinwen Zheng, who got a bye in the first round.
