Wyoming Basketball: Key matchups from 2022-23 non-con schedule

Wyoming Basketball won 25 games last season and made the NCAA Tournament. Wyoming has a lot of returning starters and a trio of Pac-12 impact transfers. The team needs to do well in the non-conference to have a chance to make it back-to-back trips to the Big Dance.

Wyoming is playing in Paradise Jam. They should watch out for Howard. If they beat the Bison, they could have a big matchup against Drake. Wyoming would like to play Boston College or George Mason in the finals.

Grand Canyon Antelopes are WAC contenders and bring back a star point guard in Jovan Blacksher Jr. who averaged 15.8 ppg and 4.0 apg last season. Grand Canyon and Wyoming play each other in Laramie on December 3rd.

Dayton Flyers play the Utah Jazz on December 17th in Salt Lake City. DaRon Holmes is a national breakout candidate. Guards Malachi Smith, Kobe Brea, and Koby Elvis are also back for the Flyers.

Saint Mary's Gaels and Wyoming are playing each other on December 21st in Phoenix. Saint Mary’s has two of its best players (Tommy Kuhse and Matthias Tass) but also has returning combo guard Logan Johnson and a lot of shooters surrounding him. Wyoming's offense is slow and they will have to find a way to get past that to win.
