Yeovil sign ex-Premier League and EFL player after leaving Torquay

Yeovil Town sign ex-Premier League and EFL player Frank Nouble after leaving also relegated club Torquay United earlier this summer.

The 31 year old striker began his career with the Chelsea youth team before moving to West Ham, where he was loaned out on seven occasions.

Nouble made five appearances for Wolves before signing for Ipswich in 2013 and after 18 months there, he was loaned to Coventry and in January 2015 signed for the club on a free transfer.

In June 2015, he moved to China to play for Tianjin Songjiang, returning to England in October 2016 to sign for Gillingham.

He then had a short spell with Southend before joining Newport County in July 2017.

He signed for Colchester in June 2018 and in August 2020, joined Plymouth before heading back to the U’s in June 2021.

Nouble has also played international football for England at both under-17 and under-19 levels.

CLUB STATEMENT:

Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Frank Nouble.

The experienced forward adds extra firepower the the Glovers’ front line for the 2023/24 season.

After making a splash in the National League with Torquay United last season, where he scored three goals in a nine game spell, he ventures to the South-West once again, but this time to Huish Park.

Boasting a strong background, the 31-year-old has experience with the likes of West Ham United, Ipswich Town & Coventry City.

“We’d agreed a deal with Frank last year but it was blocked and that meant we had to sign a different kind of player.

“Frank has always been on my radar, we all saw the difference he made to Torquay. He will be a fantastic addition to our changing room and I look forward to working with him.”
