We’ve got our best bets an prediction as both of these potential playoff teams look to keep their seasons trending in the right direction.
After opening up the season to a 4-0 start, the 49ers have now lost three straight games, two of them being on the road. Now they face a very dangerous Jaguars team.
Jacksonville started off 1-2 through three weeks of play, and fans maybe wondered if they would make the playoffs like last year. Nevertheless, the Jags turned it around.
They’ve won five straight games since then, including wins over the Bills and Colts. Now after two weeks on the road, the Jaguars will look to impress their home fans once again on Sunday.

This is a huge game for the 49ers young QB. People were talking about Brock Purdy as a legit MVP candidate, and then they lost three games straight and that talk has disappeared.
Losing Deebo Samuel definitely hurts this team, and they also missed McCaffery for a good chunk of one of those losses. However, the 49ers are still an elite team and need to find ways to win.
After scoring 30+ in their first 5 games, the 49ers have only put up 17 points in each of their three losses. Even with their elite defense, this has not been enough to get the job done.
And the Jaguars will be tough to stop.
Trevor Lawrence has led this team to score over 27 PPG in their five straight wins. Based on the recent trends with the 49ers, they might be able to win with less than that.
The Jaguars TT is sitting at 20.5 with the over juiced to -125.

In my eyes the Jaguars have solidified themselves as a playoff team once again, especially considering the rest of their division. Plus, they could make some noise if they continue to play this way.
Three touchdowns, that’s all we need from this Jags team, and that might be asking a lot considering they are one of the worst RedZone teams in the NFL.
Jacksonville currently ranks 26th in the NFL in RedZone scoring percentage only including touchdowns. They only find the end zone on 47% of trips to the RedZone.
I’m betting on them to figure it out at home, even against this tough defense.

It won’t take much, and it could arguably be done in just one screen play.
