AFC, NFC Championship Player Props: Picks, Predictions & Odds for NFL Championship Sunday

One of the best days of the NFL season arrives with Championship Sunday, and we have you covered with our best AFC and NFC Championship player props using the best NFL odds.

We finished 2-2 on our NFL player props during the divisional round, scoring on both of our Sunday bets to wash away the taste of our two losing bets on Saturday. And with just three games remaining before NFL prop betting sites

In the first game, the Baltimore Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs in the first-ever playoff matchup between Super Bowl MVP odds favorite Lamar Jackson and two-time champion Patrick Mahomes. We like the former to show out in the Ravens' first AFC Championship at home in their nearly three decades of existence.

The nightcap features the San Francisco 49ers, the consensus favorites by the latest Super Bowl odds, as hefty home favorites over the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship. The Lions are coming off their first two playoff wins in 30 years, and they could pull off another if they can force Brock Purdy into chaos.

In addition to our NFL predictions for Championship Sunday and Super Bowl predictions, let's dive in with our best NFL player props for Championship Sunday (odds via ourbest NFL betting sites; pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NFL player props: AFC Championship

Lamar Jackson Over 65.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via BetMGM

I made the full case for this bet in my Chiefs vs. Ravens NFL player props, so I'd definitely recommend checking that out before betting on the AFC Championship.

In short, Jackson really impressed me last week with his response to a blitz-heavy game plan from Houston Texans coach DeMeco Ryans. The Ravens QB faced a career-high 75% blitz rate but threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns on those plays, and he finished the game with 100 yards on the ground, too.

The Chiefs love to bring extra pressure under defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who has tested Jackson with the blitz in years past. He's responded with strong rushing performances before, and I'm expecting another on Sunday.

Isiah Pacheco Over 14.5 rush attempts ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via bet365

Much like they did in last year's postseason, the Chiefs have turned to Pacheco as a featured part of the offense in these playoffs, and he's responded in a big way.

The second-year rusher ran it 15 times for 97 yards and a touchdown last week, his seventh game with that many carries in his last eight appearances. He's cleared this total in each of his last three playoff games, and he's established himself as the clear RB1 for a team that can't trust its receiving corps in a must-win spot.

The Ravens' rush defense can be exploited, and I'm expecting Andy Reid and Co. to use the run game as a way to soften Baltimore's otherwise impenetrable defense.

NFL player props: NFC Championship

Brock Purdy to throw an interception ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +106 via FanDuel

I highlighted this as my best bet in my Lions vs. 49ers NFL player props and in our NFL Expert Picks for Championship Sunday - and it isn't just because of the generous plus-money price.

Purdy was on the hook for just 11 interceptions this year, but he finished the regular season with 18 turnover-worthy plays, per PFF, before nearly throwing multiple interceptions in the divisional round. This is nothing new for the second-year passer, who spent much of the year among the leaders in off-target throws.

The 49ers QB could also be without one of his top targets in Deebo Samuel, who left last week with a shoulder injury and is still uncertain for Sunday. The last time Samuel missed extended time, Purdy threw five interceptions in the worst three-week stretch of his career, and I'd be shocked if he enjoys a flawless game this time around.

Sam LaPorta Under 48.5 receiving yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -105 via DraftKings

This is almost entirely a matchup play for me, as the 49ers have been arguably the NFL's best team at taking away the middle of the field.

That's where LaPorta likes to operate, having hauled in nearly 70% of his catches in the middle third of the field. He'll need to dig deep to find room against San Francisco linebackers Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw, who effectively erased the central zone in last week's win over the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions rookie has been phenomenal this year, but he's still cleared this total just twice in his last five games and fewer than half of his games overall. He'll also be playing at less than 100% in a difficult matchup, which makes him an easy fade candidate in my book.

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 15.5 yards longest rush ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via FanDuel

I'm tempted to label this as a five-star play, as there is so much going in favor of Gibbs busting one loose on Sunday.

The Lions rookie ranks second in the NFL in rushes of at least 15 yards (16), and he's cleared this total in seven of his last nine games and 12 of his 17 games overall. I fully expect that to continue against a 49ers defense that struggles to defend all runs but particularly those to the outside - a dangerous weakness against the pull-happy Lions.

Gibbs broke open last week's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 31-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, and I don't foresee him going 60 minutes without producing at least one significant gain on the ground.
