One final Week 1 contest remains, prompting bettors to consider the best Jets vs. Bills bets, picks and props.

Aaron Rodgers makes his much-anticipated New York Jets debut against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

Here are the best Jets vs. Bills betting picks and odds for Monday Night Football Sept. 11:

Jets vs. Bills best bets: Total points Over 45.5 (-110 or better)

It’s often difficult to cut through the hype when it comes to betting. The Jets are vastly improved on paper compared to the team that gave the Bills fits in 2022. Yet they’re still underdogs in this tilt.

We’re looking at the total instead of picking a side. We likely won’t see a full-blown shootout, but both the Jets and Bills feature the offensive horses to make it a long Monday night for one another’s stout defense.

Jets vs. Bills props: Garrett Wilson Over 68.5 receiving yards (-115 or better)

Wilson racked up 92 and 78 receiving yards in his two matchups against the Bills. Not bad considering he was a rookie and had Zach Wilson and Mike White throwing him passes.

With Aaron Rodgers under center, Wilson will assume the “Davante Adams role” as the Jets’ far-and-away top target. And unless the Bills deploy Darrelle Revis 2.0 or pressure Rodgers relentlessly, they’re going to be hard-pressed to hold Wilson below 70 yards receiving.

Jets vs. Bills player props: Garrett Wilson TD (+160 or better)

Let’s stick with Wilson and the “Davante Adams role” he’ll play. While Wilson has a long way to go to be on par with the future Hall of Famer, he kicked off his career in much more style than did Adams, who caught 88 passes for 929 yards and four touchdowns across his first 29 games.

There’s more context to consider with those numbers, but the primary takeaway is we can safely expect Wilson to rack up large totals across the board this season, including — potentially — double digit touchdowns.

Look for him to find the paint on Monday night for the first of many 2023 spikes.

Jets vs. Bills bets: Stefon Diggs Under 69.5 receiving yards (-114 or better)

Diggs went 5-93 on 10 targets and 3-37 on five targets in his two games against Sauce Gardner and the Jets in 2022. He’s certainly capable of delivering the former on Monday night, so Under bettors, be ready to hold your breath.

We’re still siding Under for a few different reasons. One is the aforementioned Gardner, who is emerging as one of the game’s top – perhaps 2-3 – corners.

The Jets also feature a ferocious front that can be expected to frustrate and fluster Josh Allen all game.

Lastly, we shouldn’t ignore Diggs’ temperament.

He’s been disgruntled since the Bills’ season ended at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, and even though he possesses the talent to turn things on in an instant, there’s also something to be said for being completely locked in mentally and free of distractions.

Jets vs. Bills MNF prop picks: Josh Allen Over 35.5 rushing yards (-114 or better)

One of Josh Allen’s proverbial super powers is his ability to play "hero ball." He goes past, through, and over defenders like he’s dominating in the schoolyard.

The day may come when he puts that element of his game to bed, but he’s coming off another strong campaign on the ground, so we’re not there yet.

Given the Jets’ defensive line strength, Allen may be forced to use his legs. He was sacked eight times in two meetings with the Jets last season and went Over 35.5 rushing yards in each contest.

Jets vs. Bills player picks: Aaron Rodgers Over 1.5 touchdown passes (+120 or better)

The Jets may not ask Rodgers to drop back 40-plus times against the Bills, but it’s worth considering what he’s able to do in the “gold zone” as OC Nathaniel Hackett calls it.

As long as the Jets can put themselves in scoring position a few times on Monday – a reasonable expectation – Rodgers will see the opportunity to deliver scoring plays.

In addition to the dynamic talent Wilson offers, Rodgers has a number of quality skill position players around him who can corral a pass and find paydirt.
