Penn State Football 2022: Three Things I Don’t Like

Last week, we went over the good things about Penn State football heading into 2022. Today, Chief Keef and the rest of the team discuss what they don't like about the Nittany Lions.

Curtis Jacobs will play at WILL position for Penn State. Tyler Elsdon and Kobe King will be the starting middle linebackers. Jonathan Sutherland will take over at SAM. The team will probably play a lot of 4-2-5 formation. It's a big leap for Sutherland, who has only started two games over five seasons. He's well-respected within the locker room. The number of players from the position will also be limited. They will have to play more 4/2/5. For James Franklin, the biggest question mark is the linebacker position. His team is going to use 4 or 5-3 formation this season.

James Franklin doesn't like the offensive line. Olu Fashanu and Landon Tengwall are talented but they are not at their physical peak yet. Caedan Wallace needs another offseason to fine-tune his technique at right tackle. Sal Wormley probably would have started last year had he not gotten hurt during training camp.

Patrick Koerbler likes the offensive line coach Phil Trautwein's offensive game plan for Penn State football.

Sean Clifford, Mitchell Tinsley, PJ Mustipher, Jonathan Sutherland, Ji’Ayir Brown, Joey Porter Jr. (NFL Draft), and Curtis Jacobs won't be back next year. Penn State lacks the talent to compete with every team on its schedule. It's talented and I think will compete but lacks that extra pop in the way of known "game-breakers" to be in a hunt come November.

Sean Clifford, Mitchell Tinsley, PJ Mustipher, Jonathan Sutherland, Ji’Ayir Brown, Joey Porter Jr. and Jonathan Suther are out of eligibility.
