Politologue upsets the odds, as Champ wins a thriller
Politologue won the Champion Chase at Cheltenham. It was Paul Nicholls' sixth Champion Chase winner. The John Hales-owned Politologue took the lead and won. Defi Du Seuil finished fourth. Nicholl's other Champion winner was Dynamite Dollars. The winner of the Ladies' Day was Jockey Harry Skelton. He was riding for the first time in the Champions Chase. Altior was ruled out on the eve of Ladies Day. Chacun Pour Soi was withdrawn yesterday morning. Jockeys Harry and Barry Geraghty were trying to nurse DefI Du seuils into the race.
