Rick Perry Becomes Spokesman for Sports Betting Alliance

Rick Perry has a new job as a spokesman for the Texas Sports Betting Alliance. He believes betting on sports should be regulated. The alliance is in talks with other lawmakers for similar legislation. Christian Life Commission has been lobbying against this type of legislation for years. The next legislative session begins in January. It's not clear if the alliance's proposal has any better chance this year.   “You don’t see folks that were running for Texas House or the Senate going to rotary clubs and telling folks, "if you elect me I am going, go pass sports gambling."
