Sandown Race 8 #3 Trosettee $6.50

Comes into this off the back of two excellent runs, when finishing 3rd and 4th respectively at this track and Caulfield.

He now steps up in distance to the 1800m here third-up (2:2-0-0) and draws well in barrier 3.

Looks to be a stack of pace in the race and should ensure a strong tempo over the 1800m to give this lightly-raced 6YO gelding an excellent chance to run on.

Trainer Patrick Payne has been in solid recent form with 17 winners from his last 100 runners and will look to add one more here with this son of Jimmy Choux.

He should be rock-hard fit and expecting he will fire here at the 1800m.

Warwick Farm Race 2 #3 French Endeavour $3.70

This 2YO filly resumes today after a 5 month spell.

She was luckless in her debut effort on the Kensington track when she arguably should have gone close to winning.

She was only 0.5L off Bases Loaded in that effort and that horse went on to contest some of the hottest 2YO races of the Autumn.

Given time, French Endeavour now returns to the track after two solid trials.

Granted she was pushed out in both, she finished well to the line behind some talented youngsters including Infatuation.

Gibbons takes the reins and can land her midfield with cover from the soft draw.

As long as gets the gaps turning for home, she will be storming at her rivals late.

Ipswich Race 1 #5 Malarina $3.20

This Annabel Neasham trained 2YO filly has shown ability in her two career starts, placing in both.

She finished off hard on debut over 1050m, to run third after racing at the rear of the field.

At her second start, she was caught three-wide the trip and kept coming on the line, to go down by only a head.

Now she steps up to 1350m, which appears ideal given her racing pattern.

Hoop Ryan Maloney should be able to secure a nice trail and provided she has taken no harm from that wide run, she should be hard to hold out.
