2022 CJ Cup leaderboard, scores: Tom Kim, Rory McIlroy start hot, sit just off lead at Congaree

Trey Mullinax and Gary Woodland are tied for the lead at 6 under par after Round 1 of the 2022 CJ Cup. Rory McIlroy and Tom Kim are just off the pace. Congaree Golf Clubs is making its first PGA Tour appearance since summer 2021.

Gary Woodland and Trey Mullinax had similar rounds. They both made 15 birdies. Mull inax won the Barbasol Championship last season, but he missed the cut at each of the first two FedEx Cup playoff events this season. Woodman doesn't have a top 10 since the U.S. Open in June.

Tom Kim and Rory McIlroy are second and third on the CJ Cup leaderboard.

Wise shot 5 under on Thursday. He's not far away from making the U.S. Ryder Cup team. According to Data Golf, Wise's round was the 31st-best over the last 18 years.

Tom Kim and Rory McIlroy are playing at CJ Cup at Congaree. They shot 10 under on Thursday and are in the top five on the leaderboard. Kim made only one bogey, a five at the 18th hole. Mcilroy and Kim will play each other on Sunday.

Jordan Spieth shot a 4-over 75 on Thursday. He's currently T73 in a 78-player field.
