2022 College Football Takeaways

There are few revelations and inferences to be made during the typical bowl season. Teams with 6-6 regular season records that don't win their bowl game end the season with losing records.

Florida State will be the team to beat in the ACC in 2023. Tennessee may be next quarterback factory. Arkansas-Kansas was a thrilling game in Liberty Bowl. Kentucky lost to Iowa in Music City Bowl, ending their disappointing 7-6 season.  Alabama won the Sugar Bowl with Bryce Young. He completed 15 of 21 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns. The team had 10 first downs and 185 yards of offense without starting quarterback Will Levis. It's enough reason for him to forfeit his scholarship.  He finished sixth in this year's voting.

Florida State will be the team to beat in the ACC in 2023. The Seminoles beat Oklahoma Sooners 35-32 in an exciting game. Clemson lost to Tennessee in Orange Bowl 31-14.

Tennessee's Joe Milton III threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns in relief of the injured Hendon Hooker.

Arkansas beat Kansas 55-52 in triple overtime in the Liberty Bowl. The Jayhawks had a losing season.

Kentucky lost 21-0 to Iowa in the Music City Bowl. The team finished 7-6. Will Levis played only 10 minutes without his starting quarterback.

Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy with his performance in the Sugar Bowl. Will Anderson didn't play in that game, but he did play for the game. He finished sixth in this year's voting.

The Sugar Bowl went to Alabama. The game was decided on a touchdown with less than a minute left on the clock. Alabama won the game and the fourth and final spot in the College Football Playoff went on to Ohio State.

#2 Michigan lost to #3 TCU 51-45. #1 Georgia beat #4 Ohio State 42-41. Both games were high-scoring affairs.  2022 College Football Takeaways. The defensive units of Michigan and Georgia were put to the test.

Georgia was predicted at the beginning of the season to repeat as National Champions. TCU was a 200-1 longshot to make the CFP.

TCU is from the Big-12 and is used to coming from behind to win.
