2022 Cotillion Stakes Betting Odds and Contenders Preview

Saturday features a massive afternoon of racing at Parx Racing in Philadelphia with no less than 10 stakes races. A strong field of nine 3-year-old fillies, led by Kentucky Oaks winner Secret Oath, have been entered in Saturday’s Cotillion Stakes. Seven of the nine are listed at 8-1 or lower in the morning line odds.

The field for the Cotillion Stakes drew Wednesday, September 13. The morning line does not decide the final price, but it is a useful guide to which horses will be favored and who will have a longer shot.

Green Up is making her graded stakes debut at the Cotillion. The Dark Bay filly won the Boiling Springs Stakes by 5 3/4 lengths over Radio Days.

Adare Manor will make her first start in more than four months on Saturday. She broke her maiden by 12 lengths at Santa Anita and won Las Virgenes Stakes by 13 lengths.

Goddess of Fire is the first of three fillies from Todd Pletcher's barn. She is trained by John Patrick Ryan and is by Toronado (IRE) out of Burnt Fingers (IRE).

Beach Daze has won four of her last six races. She is coming off a 6-furlong allowance win at Monmouth Park.

Morning Matcha is one of seven stakes winners in the field. Society won her debut at Keeneland by a length. She got off to a poor start in Coaching Club American Oaks.

Street Band won the 2019 Cotillion Stakes. Since 1969, six eclipse award winners have participated in the Cotillions Stake. Two fillies have completed both the Cottillion and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff since 2000. The winner of the last two Cotillion races has been Midnight Bisou.

The Cotillion Stakes for 3-year-old fillies is the 11th race on the 13-race card that also co-features the Pennsylvania Derby. The race is broadcast on FanDuel TV and FanGolf.

The Cotillion Stakes is held annually at Parx Racing and Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. It is run in late September as a prelude to the annual Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.
