Kentucky Oaks Winner Secret Oath Garners Favoritism in G1 Cotillion

A field of nine is entered for Saturday's $1 million Cotillion Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Parx Racing. The 1 1/16 miles race is the co-feature with the betPARX Pennsylvania Derby. Briland Farm’s homebred Secret Oath is at the top of the Cotillions field. Adare Manor will ship from Southern California for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert. Todd Pletcher will try for his fourth Cotillon with a trio of runners that includes KHK Racing”s Shahama.

Kentucky Oaks Winner Secret Oath is favored in G1 Cotillion. Green Up, Goddess of Fire, Shahama and Adare Manor are also in the race. The draw was fine. There are a few more horses in there than Wayne Lukas thought. The horses are going to show up. Bob Baffert likes Adreare Manor's form. He could have run her in a softer spot. She got light and was not training as well as he would have liked. However, he likes the way she is doing now. It is a million dollars. They ship well. When the horses and riders are good, the ideal post is not important.
