The 2022 MLB season is over and the Houston Astros have been crowned champions. The next season, the MLB betting expert lays out his predictions for the 2023 season.

The Cardinals are a team that is going to be a contender this winter. They have Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, Miles Mikolas, Adam Wainwright, Jack Flaherty, Willson Contreras, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson and Trea Turner. The team won 93 games last year despite a bad injury to their starting rotation.

The Cards are the favorite to win the 2023 World Series.

Shohei Ohtani is the favorite to win the AL MVP in 2023. He is an all-star with his bat and a Cy Young contender on the mound.

Aaron Judge is going to the Giants. He has hit 62 home runs this season. If the Yankees can't persuade him to stay, he will go to NL and win MVP.

Kevin Gausman led the American League in Fielding Independent Pitching this season with a 2.38 FIP. He will be at the top of the Cy Young voting in 2023.

Max Fried is a finalist for the NL Cy Young Award. Fried has been getting better for a few years.

Anthony Volpe is the favorite to win the AL Rookie of the Year award. He has been playing well in the upper minors this year. Isiah Kiner-Falefa was a disappointment for the Yankees this season.

Ezequiel Tovar is a shortstop prospect who played in the big leagues this year. He is one of the best defensive prospects in baseball.
