2023 Sony Open predictions: PGA Tour golf picks, odds

The Sony Open takes place at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. It's the first full-field PGA Tour event of the 2023 season. Tom Kim is the tournament favorite at +1100. Sungjae Im, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama and Brian Harman are also favorites.

Six of the last eight Sony Open winners posted -20 or better. Eight of last nine winners at Waialae played the previous week at the TOC.

Keegan Bradley finished 34th out of 38 players at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. It was his first event since October. He has a win, a runner-up and five top-10 finishes in 2022.

JT Poston finished T16 at 16-under par at Kapalua. Waialae is not a challenging course.

Mackenzie Hughes is a player you want to back at courses that reward short-game superstars.

Chez Reavie is a long shot at the Sony Open this week. He finished third here in 2019 and eighth in 2017.
