The best of the NBA descends upon Indianapolis this weekend for the NBA All-Star break festivities. The NBA's All-Star Weekend will have two venues to showcase the league's best in Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Lucas Oil Stadium, where Saturday's marquee events will be held. The evening features the Skills Challenge, Slam Dunk contest, Steph vs. Sabrina and the 3-Point Contest, with eight of the best shooters taking part in the long-range shooting event. Highlighting the 3-Point Contest field will be Milwaukee's Damian Lillard and Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton. Lillard is the defending 3-Point Contest champion, while Haliburton is the local favorite and a budding superstar.

The second event of All-Star Saturday will be the NBA's 3-Point Contest at Lucas Oil Stadium, with the overall festivities are set to begin at 8 p.m. ET. Lillard is the betting favorite at +440, with Haliburton listed at +460 in the latest 2024 3-Point Contest odds. Trae Young is right behind at +480, with Donovan Mitchell at +650. Karl-Anthony Towns (+700), Jalen Brunson (+700), Lauri Markkanen (+700) and Malik Beasley (+800) are the longshots in the field. 2024 NBA 3-Point Contest predictions

One surprise: PropStarz isn't high on Towns, despite his status as a former winner. He is one of two previous winners in the eight-player field, having won the event in 2022. The ninth-year veteran has finished four seasons by connecting on 40% or better on his threes, and is hitting a career-best 43.6% of his 3-pointers this season. Towns has made more than 950 3-pointers in his career, including 120 already this season, the seventh time he has accomplished that. In a 129-123 loss at Chicago on Feb. 6, he connected on 7 of 16 3-pointers.

However, Selesnick knows that this is a very difficult field, and Towns could be fighting a tough battle. Every year since 2007-08, only Stephen Curry has been able to win multiple times. Towns is averaging 2.3 3-pointers per game this season, but that is not as prolific as some in the field, and he has been running cold of late, hitting 2 of 8 threes during a two-game stretch earlier this week. See who to pick here.
