ACC Football Week 10: Game Previews and Spread Predictions

No. 5 Clemson (6-0 ACC) is the division leader in the Atlantic and No. 17 North Carolina (4-1 Coastal) the Coastal. Both teams are playing on the road this weekend.

#17 North Carolina (7-1) and Virginia (3-5) are playing each other at noon ET. North Carolinians are coming off of four straight wins. Virginia has lost four of their five ACC games. The Tar Heels boast a top-8 FBS offense in yards per game (502) and points pergame (41.8). Virginia lost 14-12 at home to Miami last week.

Virginia is getting 35 percent of the bets in this one. North Carolina has the conference's worst defense. The Tar Heels are 1-2 ATS in games this year where they are favored by more than a touchdown. Virginia has a trip to No. 20 Wake Forest on the horizon.

Georgia Tech (3-5) and Virginia Tech are playing each other in the ACC on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET. Georgia Tech lost to Florida State last Saturday and has lost four of their last five games. VirginiaTech lost 22-21 at NC State on Thursday.

Virginia Tech is favored by 3.5 points against Georgia Tech. GeorgiaTech lost last week's game against VT. Virginia Tech has one of the biggest home field advantages in college football.

Syracuse lost 41-24 to Notre Dame last week. Pittsburgh fell to the first place Tar Heels last weekend 42- 24. Israel Abanikanda was the only player to reach 1,000 yards in the last game for the Orange. Pittsburgh is currently ranked in top 20 in terms of yards allowed.

Pittsburgh is favored by 3.5 points over Syracuse. The Orange's defense has been exposed by rushing approaches in recent games. Pittsburgh has a top running back in college football.

No. 4 Clemson is coming off a bye week and is undefeated. Notre Dame beat Syracuse 41-24 on national television last Saturday. The Fighting Irish are undefeated against ACC teams this season. Clemson and Notre Notre are playing each other at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.

Notre Dame is favored by 3.5 points over Clemson. The Tigers are getting 71 percent of the bettors' money. Notre Dame won the last meeting between the two teams 47-40 in 2020.

Louisville has won three straight inter-conference games for the first time since 2016. James Madison Dukes are challenging Coastal Carolina for Sun Belt title. They have dropped two straight games after receiving their first AP Top 25 ranking in school history. Louisville's defense leads the nation with 33 sacks.

Louisville won over Wake Forest by turning the Deacons over eight times. James Madison is second in the FBS with 14 interceptions. The Dukes are just outside the top 30 in college football in rushing yards per game.

Both Florida State and Miami were placed in the AP rankings this season after their undefeated starts. Florida St. won at home last week by defeating Georgia Tech 41-16. Miami survived in a 14-12 slugfest against Virginia with backup quarterback Jake Garcia at the helm.

Miami is a better team than their record suggests. The Hurricanes rank fourth among ACC teams with 426 yards per game and sixth with 343 yards allowed per games. Miami has their offensive captain returning under center.
