Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain transfer odds: Brighton lead chase for Liverpool outcast

The Sun

BRIGHTON appear to be frontrunners to sign Liverpool outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Sky Bet make the Seagulls the leading club at 6/1 to sign the midfielder in this window.

The midfielder has spent five and a half years in Merseyside since signing for £35million from Arsenal in 2017, winning the Premier League and Champions League during his spell.

With only six months left on his contract, Liverpool could be tempted to try and sell him this month for a fee rather than lose him for free.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the Saints academy as a seven-year-old back in 2000 and became the second youngest appearance maker for the club, behind only Theo Walcott, when he was 16.

He left them to join Arsenal for £12million as a 17-year-old and won three FA Cups and three Community Shields during his six years under Arsene Wenger.

With his time at Liverpool seemingly coming to an end, it looks like he could follow ex-team-mate Adam Lallana to Brighton.

They are 6/1 to make a move and sign the Ox this month.

That's ahead of Crystal Palace, who are 16/1 shots to sign him.

While a return to Southampton isn't completely ruled out.

Though that scenario happening this month is 20/1.
