Two of the English Premier League’s traditional powers come to the United States for an international friendly at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The action is set to kick off at 5 p.m. ET as Manchester United does battle with Arsenal in an exhibition of top-shelf football as part of the Premier League’s inaugural Summer Series of friendlies abroad.

The match is slated to kick off this evening on ESPN and ESPN+, with live streams available through FuboTV, which offers a 7-day free trial, along with Sling TV ($10 off the first month) and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).

Arsenal was in the running for a 2022-’23 Premier League title, but gave ground late in the year to Manchester City as City went on to win its third straight crown instead. Arsenal finished with a 26-6-6 season record and a plus-45 goal differential behind the talents of top scorers Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Ødegaard along with skilled playmakers such as Bukayo Saka.

Earlier in the week, Arsenal blitzed a team of MLS All-Stars for a 5-0 victory behind five different goal-scorers. Meanwhile, Manchester United has gone 2-0 over the past nine days with wins in club friendlies over Leeds United (2-0) on July 13 and Lyon (1-0) on July 19. ManU did not surrender a shot on goal in the win over Lyon while holding 56 percent possession.

Arsenal and Manchester United split the 2022-’23 season series in Premier League with two matches where a combined nine goals were scored. ManU took the first match, 3-1, back in September while Arsenal rallied for a 3-2 win in January as the club’s finished second and third in the final Premier League standings. Saturday’s matchup promises to be another good one in a series that will resume when the 2023-’24 Premier League season kicks off Aug. 11.
