Aston Villa and Brighton are both living up to last season’s standards, showing that they have the squad depth and talent to balance their Premier League duties with a campaign in Europe.

Villa finished seventh in the Premier League last season, booking their place in the Europa Conference League, and they sit sixth after six games. They have won four of those fixtures which includes a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Chelsea last time out.

But the visitors are in confident spirits and they are scoring freely, which is highlighted by three successive 3-1 victories over Newcastle, Manchester United and Bournemouth.
