Quality colt Militarize is set to start a short priced favourite in Saturday's $600,000 Group 1 Champagne Stakes at Randwick and the Punters Inside Run guys reckon it should be an easy watch.

Matt Campbell, Mick Sharkie and Alex Donnelly all agree the Chris Waller-trained galloper shapes close to a good thing in the race such was his dominance in the ATC Sires' Produce.

"I can't see Don Corleone beating him, Militarize was running away from him over the 1400m in the Sires' and I question the second horse out to 1600m," Alex Donnelly said.

Militarize won on debut and was placed at Group 2 level in the Todman Stakes before he was knocked out of the Golden Slipper we a $101 chance but he showed his true wares in the Sires' winning by a widening 3½ lengths.

"He was brilliant in the Sires' and there's no reason he won't do it again," said Mick Sharkie.

In the other Group 1 on the Randwick program, the All Aged Stakes the team were split on their selections with Mick Sharkie and Matt Campbell both going with the $3.10 favourite Giga Kick while Alex Donnelly is keen on Private Eye e at $8.

Alex also gave a sneaky little one for the Japanese raider Ho O Amazon at the $16.
