We’ve examined the odds from the best online betting sites, including BetMGM, Caesars, FanDuel, and more, to locate these wagers.
Below, we have four MLB predictions for today’s slate of games.
Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays MLB Predictions Today & Odds, 6:40 PM ET
As of this Red Sox vs. Rays prediction, Tampa Bay sits 3.5 games behind the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles, while Boston is 4.5 games back of a Wild Card spot.
The Rays will start Zach Eflin today, and the Red Sox have Kutter Crawford.
Since being shelled by the Cleveland Guardians on August 13, Eflin has been stellar, allowing three runs over his last three starts, going six innings or more in each, and having an 11-strikeout performance against the New York Yankees. We like the Rays ML (-160) at BetMGM.
Conversely, Crawford is coming off a rough start against the Houston Astros, allowing six runs in less than three innings.
Both teams have potent offenses here, so the run line is tricky to recommend. Still, the Rays should have the edge here with a better offense and starting pitcher option for the first of our best MLB bets today.
Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Dodgers MLB Predictions Today & Odds, 6:40 PM ET
Live in Miami for this Marlins vs. Dodgers prediction; we have Clayton Kershaw on the mound for Los Angeles, and here, we’ll be focusing on some MLB prop bets.
The 35-year-old vet heads into Miami for his fifth start since returning from a June injury. Since then, he’s had no more than five strikeouts in a game, but he has a K/9 of 9.6, so we like Kershaw Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-160) at FanDuel.
The Marlins strike out the fifth-least times in the league at just 7.71 (lowered to 7.23 at home), but Kershaw has a line here of just 4.5.
He’s been able to go five innings in most of his starts since coming back from injury, but it’s clear he’s still getting back into form.
Before the injury, they had had more than five strikeouts in a game in every start, but two, so the potential for it is there.
Against a weaker Marlins offense, look for Kershaw to get back into a groove today and go over 4.5 for our best MLB bets today.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers MLB Predictions Today & Odds, 6:35 PM ET
At the time of this Pirates vs. Brewers prediction, it’s looking like Andre Jackson will be on the hill for Pittsburgh against Milwaukee.
Jackson is an interesting pitcher heading into this matchup, as he was excellent in his last outing, albeit against the lowly Kansas City Royals.
He allowed just one earned over five ⅔ innings, surrendering two hits and seven strikeouts, and we like Jackson Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-158) at Caesars.
Against the Brewers, he’ll get a team that strikes out 8.78 times (19th in the league) and scores 4.38 times per game (also 19th).
He has just three starts on the year, three of his last four appearances. In those starts, he had at least five strikeouts.
His MLB player prop today is at just 3.5.

Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers MLB Predictions Today & Odds, 8:05 PM ET
In looking over Jackson’s MLB player props during our first look at our Pirates vs. Brewers prediction, we found another bet intriguing.
This time, we’ll look at Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff and his strikeout line.
With an 11.0 K/9 on the year, Woodruff has posted eight strikeouts or more in three of his last five starts. The games he didn’t were against the Texas Rangers (four) and Chicago White Sox (five). We like Woodruff Under 7.5 Strikeouts (-120) at DraftKings,
The Pirates are far from a powerhouse, scoring just 4.21 runs and striking out 8.81 times per game, but they’ve been a bit more disciplined at the plate recently, striking out just seven times per game over their last three.
Woodruff’s line here is 7.5, which is tempting given his more recent starts, but he has missed out a couple of times, too.
He’ll come close, but wager the under for our best MLB bets today.
