NBA Player Props – Heat vs. Celtics, May 17, 2023

Malcolm Brogdon o14.5 points (-110), PointsBet

In his last 12 playoff games, Malcolm Brogdon has scored at least 14 points nine times and has only one game with fewer than 12 points in that span. Simply, he has been very competitive at this market number each time he has taken the floor during the postseason, with a few inefficient shooting performances standing between him and a near-100% hit-rate at this market number. Brogdon is a strong bet to see approximately 30 minutes and north of 10 shot attempts once again tonight – take the over on his points prop.

Jaylen Brown o5.5 rebounds (-138), FanDuel

According to props.cash, Jaylen Brown has eclipsed this market number in 25 of 42 games played at home this year, including the regular season. During the playoffs, Brown has hit the over at this market number five times in seven games, falling short once against the Atlanta Hawks and once against the Philadelphia 76ers. Playing on multiple days of rest, Brown should have the stamina to have an active night on the glass for a Boston Celtics team that lacks size and power in the frontcourt. He should be able to collect six boards in this spot.

NBADFS Pick’em

Kevin Love less than 1.5 three-pointers made, PrizePicks

Kevin Love has hit the over at this market number seven times in 13 playoff games. Still, he has started to see his role diminish within the Miami Heat offense as of late – playing only 16 minutes in each of the team’s last two games against the New York Knicks. Going back four games, Love is 3-for-16 from beyond-the-arc and has contributed minimally in other areas of the game, which makes it hard to justify a sizable role when he is not making shots. Do not expect a big Game 1 performance from him in this spot.
