Best NBA prop bets today for Clippers vs. Timberwolves (James Harden’s role could exp

The Los Angeles Clippers are now three games back of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference, so the team would love to steal a win as a road underdog on Sunday afternoon.

This is a tough game to wager on with Anthony Edwards listed as questionable, so I’d rather eye some player props for our best bets that don’t have as much of an impact on whether Ant Man plays or not.

The Clippers could be in line for a much different look going forward without Russell Westbrook (left hand fracture), but that also could create some value on the team’s No. 1 playmaker.

If you’re looking to bet on any game in the NBA tonight, FanDuel Sportsbook has an amazing promotional offer. New users who sign up with the link below and wager $5 will receive $150 in bonus bets -- if their bet wins.

Let’s break down the props for this Western Conference battle:

James Harden OVER 16.5 points

In two meetings with the Wolves this season, James Harden has 14 and 17 points, but he’s been hot as of late, scoring 20 or more points in three straight games and clearing this prop in six of his last seven matchups.

While Minnesota has the No. 1 defense in the NBA, I wonder if Harden will see an even bigger role now that Westbrook is out.

He only had to play 25 minutes in a blowout win over Washington, but Harden has played 35 or more minutes in three straight games before that. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him clear this total since he’s averaging 17.6 points per game this season.

Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 6.5 rebounds

Karl-Anthony Towns has yet to clear this total against the Clippers this season, but he’s still averaging 8.5 boards per game and only needs seven to clear this prop.

Towns also has eight or more boards in four of his last five games, including a 14-rebound game against Milwaukee. If Ivica Zubac (questionable) misses his third straight game for the Clips, Towns and Rudy Gobert should dominate the glass.

Ivica Zubac UNDER 9.5 points

There’s a chance that Zubac plays in this game, but I’m fading him regardless against Gobert, who is on pace to win yet another Defensive Player of the Year award this season.

Zubac scored just six points in his last game against Minnesota, and it’s possible that he’s on a minutes limit tonight after missing back-to-back games with an illness.

The Clippers have eased Zubac back into the lineup before (for a calf injury), and he has a brutal matchup against one of the bigger frontcourts in the league. Minnesota also allows the third-fewest points in the paint per game this season.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
