Best NBA prop bets today for Nuggets vs. Bucks (Nikola Jokic undervalued?)

Arguably the best matchup in the NBA on Monday night takes place in Milwaukee, as MVP candidates Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo go head to head in the Denver Nuggets-Milwaukee Bucks clash.

Denver won the first meeting between these teams at Ball Arena, but the team has been much more beatable on the road this season. That being said, the Bucks have struggled in the Doc Rivers era – and against the spread all season – making this a tough game to pick.

So, why not bet on some props?

With the star power at its highest in this game, there are plenty of ways to go on Monday. Here are my top player prop picks for this matchup:

Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double

Jokic has recorded 15 triple-doubles this season, including one against the Bucks back on Jan. 29.

In that game, the Joker had 25 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. The fact that we can get him at nearly +200 to do that again is a crazy value.

This season, Jokic is No. 5 in the NBA in rebounding chances per game (18.9), No. 5 in potential assists per game (14.5) and has just four games where he’s failed to score 10 or more points.

This should be a close game, which means we’ll get an uptick in minutes for Jokic. He nearly had a triple double on Friday night against the Sacramento Kings in less than 30 minutes. He’s a value bet to make tonight.

Michael Porter Jr. OVER 14.5 points

If there’s one thing Michael Porter Jr. is going to do, it’s shoot the basketball.

He’s averaging 16.0 points per game, but he’s fallen short of this number a few too many times as of late, lowering his prop to 14.5 points. I’m going to buy low on him here.

MPJ has attempted at least 14 shots in five of his last six games, and he’s taking 3-pointers at a high volume too, attempting at least six in five of those matchups.

He did score just 13 points on 14 shots in his last game against Milwaukee, but he was also just 1-for-3 from beyond the arc. I expect some positive regression in that category on Monday.

Malik Beasley OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

I love backing props of players who see a lot of volume, and man does Malik Beasley get that from beyond the arc for Milwaukee.

A former Nugget, Beasley has attempted at least six shots from deep in each of his last eight games. Despite posting an 0-for-9 game and multiple 1-for-7 games in that stretch, Beasley has kept shooting.

That paid off, as he went 7-for-9 from 3 in his last game against Charlotte.

If Beasley is going to push double-digit 3-point attempts again, he’s a must bet since he’s shooting 44.6 percent from 3 on the season.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
