Best NBA prop bets today for Spurs vs. Knicks (RJ Barrett should stay hot)

The New York Knicks are fresh off of a huge win against the Los Angeles Clippers, and they’ll remain at home to host the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.

New York’s offense is still a work in progress, but can it find its footing against a young San Antonio team that features No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama?

I think it can, and I have two Knicks to back in the prop market – and a pay for Wemby – for this Wednesday night matchup.

Spurs vs. Knicks best NBA prop bets today

  • Julius Randle OVER 19.5 Points
  • Victor Wembanyama UNDER 30.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
  • RJ Barrett OVER 18.5 Points

Julius Randle OVER 19.5 Points

This is the ultimate buy-low spot on Julius Randle, especially since we saw him put together a solid game in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Randle has taken at least 20 shots in three games this season, including his last two matchups. He’s going to get the looks, and at this volume it’s hard not to bet on him to go OVER 19.5 points.

After a brutal start to the season efficiency wise, Randle was 9-for-21 (3-for-8 from 3) in his last game – leading to a 27-point showing.

The Spurs rank 29th in the NBA in defensive rating, so I expect the Knicks – who have struggled on offense – to turn things around a bit in this matchup.

Victor Wembanyama UNDER 30.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

This number continues to climb for Wemby, but I’m not sold on him clearing it against Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks defense.

New York comes into this game ranking No. 1 in the NBA in rebounding percentage and No. 2 in the league in defensive rating.

That’s not a good sign for Wembanyama, who is averaging 8.4 rebounds per game. Robinson is one of the few players that has the size to contest the French phenom, and Wemby’s assist numbers (1.7 per game) have been low all season.

That means we’re relying on him to push 25 points against this Knicks defense? I don’t see it since he’s done that just once so far this season.

RJ Barrett OVER 18.5 Points

Has there been a better offensive player for the Knicks this season than RJ Barrett?

The Knicks youngster is finally putting things together from an efficiency standpoint, shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from 3 early on this season while averaging 22.0 points per game.

I love that Barrett gets to be the focal point of the offense with the second unit, and he’s coming off a 26-point game against Los Angeles.

I think he stays hot against a weak Spurs defense.
