Bet on these MLB props today 7/25/2023

All 30 MLB teams are back in action today, Tuesday, July 25. Yesterday we went 3-for-3 on props: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. over RBIs, Luis Castillo over strikeouts and Padres to score first and win.

If you didn’t get a chance to bet yesterday, here are the best props for today:

We have also saved you the hassle of choosing a sportsbook because we have researched, ranked and reviewed the top MLB sportsbooks and the best promos available to Pennsylvania bettors at each of these sportsbooks.

The Rays take on the Marlins for a two-game set in Tampa Bay. A moneyline bet on the Rays is -200, but this bet increases the odds to +123.

Both teams are in a slump, but the Marlins are 23-27 on the road and the Rays win 66.7% percent of their home games (36-18).

The Marlins hit first and they are one of the worst first-inning scoring teams. They rank 27th in the league, averaging 0.39 runs in the first inning and that number drops to 0.26 when they are on the road. On the other hand, the Rays are eighth-best in first inning scoring at 0.59 runs and that number increases to 0.72 runs at home.

If the Rays can hold off the visit Marlins, who bat first, with Tyler Glasnow (3-3, 3.62 ERA) on the bump, they should be able to capitalize.

With the Unibet promotion for Penn Live customers of a $500 second chance bet, you may want to consider tossing a few bucks on the Rays.

The Twins vs. Mariners series means a lot of strikeouts. These teams are No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in batter strikeouts. To enhance that even further, Pablo Lopez (5-6, 4.22 ERA) gets the start for the Twins today. He has 152 strikeouts in 121.2 innings pitched. Those numbers have him at third in the majors and second in the National League.

Teoscar Hernandez has 131 batter strikeouts, good for the most in the majors. He has 16 strikeouts in 11 games since the All-Star break. Unfortunately, today the line on Hernandez’s strikeout is -110 for over 1.5.

So, we can look to hits instead for positive odds. Hernandez has four strikeouts in his last two games and remains hitless. It is reasonable to assume he will be more disciplined at the plate today given his poor streak. However, Lopez’s junk and command of the plate don’t give him much to hit.

Nonetheless, it’s hard to ignore the numbers. Here’s the alternate bet on strikeouts:

Alternate Line: Teoscar Hernandez: Over 1.5 batter strikeouts (-110, DraftKings Sportsbook)
