Betting the Big Ten: Week 11

Week 10 was not kind to Betting the Big Ten. They correctly bet the Michigan game and the Ohio State game but that's it. On the whole, they went 2-5.

Purdue and Illinois are playing each other at noon on Saturday. Illinois has a solid defense but struggled against Michigan State. Purdue's offense is potent but it only scored three points against Iowa last week. Head-to-head, the teams have hit the under five years in a row.

Rutgers is a 9.5-point favorite against Michigan State. The last two games between these teams were a 14-10 snoozefest and a 38-27 shootout.

Indiana is playing at Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday at noon. The Buckeyes are 6-3 on over/unders and 4-2 at home.

Wisconsin is playing Iowa in a game with Big Ten West implications. Iowa was favored by a point before, but the spread has since crossed to Wisconsin.

Northwestern plays Minnesota at 3:30 p.m. The game is a toss-up. Minnesota has struggled to cover large spreads recently.

Nebraska is at home to Michigan (-30.5), O/U 48. 5, at 3:30 p.m. Michigan barely covered last weekend against Rutgers thanks to a lethargic first half. Nebraska may not have starting quarterback Casey Thompson due to injury.

Maryland is playing Penn State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The past four head-to-head games between these teams have been decided by an average of 43.5 points.
