Celtic vs Inverness betting preview

As the odds suggest, it looks a rather tall order for Inverness to get their hands on the trophy this weekend.

Celtic are on the hunt for their third trophy of the season to wrap up another treble at the club.

The drama surrounding this one started way, way before cup final week with the news that kick off time was being moved from the traditional 3pm start due to a clash with the FA Cup final.

The Epsom Derby opted to move their start time to earlier in the day and it looked set that the SFA would follow, only to anger both clubs by pushing the time back to later.

Caley have since had to hand thousands of briefs back having not sold as many tickets as they'd have hoped, leaving it set to be 80% populated by Hoops supporters.

On the park and Celtic wrapped up their Premiership season with a huge 5-0 win over Aberdeen at Parkhead on trophy day.

That ended a three-game winless run, where some in the Caley camp might have just been licking their lips.

Inverness haven't had a competitive game since the end of their Championship season back on May 5.

The headlines at the minute surround Ange Postecoglou, though, with the Hoops boss the preferred candidate to take over at Tottenham, with the cup final potentially his last outing in charge.

Despite that distraction, it's difficult to look past Celtic at roughly 1/12 odds.

Kyo-going to be tough

Kyogo looks set to be fit to line up on Saturday despite injury in that Aberdeen game.

The Japanese star bagged twice against the Dons before being replaced, ending his Premiership campaign with 27 goals.

Before the two goals against Aberdeen, his last two doubles both came against rivals Rangers in a pair of Old Firm encounters.

But he can follow it up here with another brace.

Jot the lot

It was revealed this week that Celtic won EVERY game in the league that Jota started this season.

His influence might not have been as big as it was during his loan spell but he remains a major player to Postecoglou's set up.

Scored a recent winner at Ibrox to make it four games with a goal in a row but not notched since then.

He'll still have his chances, though, so playing more conservatively with this one.

What's the score...

That's the big question from this one, surely.

Celtic to win and 4+ goals in the game is still odds-on, so that makes little appeal for that selection.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Inverness will cause Celtic too many problems going the other way, with goals on the Hoops' mind.
