Celtic v St Mirren preview
Celtic are hoping to return to after successive draws in the past week.
It looked on Saturday that their exertions in Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid had taken a bit out of them as they fell to a goalless draw at Hibs.
They still mustered enough attempts to win the game but lacked a bit of quality in the final third that they would normally possess.
They’ll need that to return here against a St Mirren side who are continuing their excellent early season form.
St Mirren’s 4-0 demolition over St Johnstone kept them clear of the rest of the league in third spot and will remain clear no matter the other results on the night.
That win actually ended a three-game winless run for Saints, though they’ve won just one of their last four away from home.
The last visit between the sides ended in a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park, with the Hoops winning the previous three and scoring 14 in the process.
