Celtic vs St Mirren preview

Ange Postecoglou's side will get to celebrate their league triumph for the first time when St Mirren visit Celtic Park.

A party atmosphere is likely despite last week's heavy defeat at Ibrox in the Old Firm.

Postecoglou made plenty of changes in that game and has since admitted he got the selection wrong.

The chance of a record points haul disappeared with that loss last weekend, so it's likely he'll continue his mantra of giving boys minutes and resting a few that have grinded this campaign.

St Mirren haven't won any of their last four and their hopes of European football in Paisley next year are now extremely slim.

Those prospects would look better if they grabbed an unlikely win here, though at odds of around 14/1, they need a special performance.

Before that loss at Ibrox, Celtic's only domestic defeat of the season was against the Paisley Saints though, so they should take some confidence from that.

Hibs vs Rangers preview

Rangers' players were given 'oxygen' by that win over Celtic last week, Michael Beale said.

Despite playing a much-changed Hoops side, Gers looked a lot better without Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos, giving plenty of food for thought for Beale for the remainder of this season.

There will be one or two who are still playing for their Rangers careers, with a summer rebuild on the way.

That win closed the gap at the top to ten points and Beale will be desperate to win the remaining three games in the hope that final tally is cut down.

For Hibs, they still have plenty to play for and come into this one in fifth, just one point behind rivals Hearts.

European football looks on the cards for the Hibees who are finishing the season well, and could have been sat in an even better position had they taken some of the umpteen chances created at Pittodrie last weekend.

A late missed penalty rubbing further salt in the wounds for Lee Johnson's men, who know they will close the gap on either Hearts or Aberdeen if they win this week, with that pair playing each other this weekend.

Rangers won 4-1 on their last trip to Easter Road, though Hibs did grab a late point in a 2-2 draw earlier in the season here.

Celtic vs St Mirren betting tips

Saints and winners

The most surprising thing about Celtic's performance at Rangers last week was them recording just one shot on target.

Even in games they've struggled in this year, that's a shockingly low statistic for that free-flowing side.

They should get back on the goal trail here but without Alistair Johnson and Cameron Carter-Vickers, they're far shakier at the back.

We fancy St Mirren to find a goal but Celts to bounce back with a win.

Maed for more

Daizen Maeda was a surprise exclusion last weekend at Ibrox and his energy and willingness to run was an obvious miss.

No surprise to see him back included here and back amongst the goals.

Actually opened the scoring in the 5-1 Scottish Cup here between the sides earlier this year too.

A decent price to do so again but the 2/1 on an anytime goal is more than worthwhile.

Hibs vs Rangers betting tips

Goals in this

Rangers defended supremely well to shut out Celtic last weekend and will be looking to follow up again here.

But they've conceded 23 goals in 17 away games, with Hibs scoring average at home almost two per game.

It's 31 times they've scored in 17 home games for the Hibees and we think they can add to that here.

There's only been one draw in the last ten fixtures between the sides in all competitions.

Lead from the front / right back

James Tavernier has gone five games without a goal which is a disappointing one for him.

The free kick and penalty taker will undoubtedly get more chances before the season is out to add to his total this season, particularly with talk of a new right back coming to the club.

He's notched 15 times in 35 league appearances this term.

Only 5/1 to score first but almost 2s to score at some stage, which we're happy to play with.
