Bob Baffert's Mucho Gusto wins $3 million Pegasus World Cup in Florida

Mucho Gusto, the current favorite racehorse of trainer Bob Baffert, won the $3 million Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstreak Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Eclipse Award-winning jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. rode the horse to victory. It was Bafert's second Pegasus win.

Mucho Gusto won the Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstreak Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. It was the second Pegasus win for trainer Bob Baffert.

Ortiz Jr. and his horse charged for the lead on the turn to home and won the race. Mr Freeze finished in second place and War Story finished third.

Odds were constantly changing in the months, and even days, prior to the race due to horses dropping out with other races in mind, or injuries. Omaha Beach was scratched on Thursday due of swelling in his right hind leg, while Spun to Run was withdrawn with hives.

Bob Baffert's Mucho Gusto won $17.60, Mr Freeze $15.20 and War Story $13.40.
