Honours even at the Vitality

Bournemouth are 11 points better off than their visitors in the Premier League this season but that does not mean punters should rush to back them on Wednesday night.

The Cherries have taken four points from their last two games against strugglers Burnley and Sheffield United but were on a six-game winless run in all competitions before that.

And they have not been particularly reliable at the Vitality Stadium with the club 16th in the Premier League home standings.

They have failed to win any of their previous four matches on their own patch but three of those games were level at 90 minutes and a bet on the draw could be the way to go.

A lot has been made of Luton’s performances at Kenilworth Road but they have actually collected 10 of their 21 league points on their travels this season and they won twice on the road in the FA Cup.

The Hatters know a win in this match would move them out of the relegation zone, so there will be plenty of incentive to go forward. They earned a respectable point at Crystal Palace on Saturday, courtesy of a 96th-minute strike from Cauley Woodrow, and should again hold their own.

Bournemouth vs Luton Town tip 1: Draw @ 15/4 with Sky Bet

Goals in short supply

Luton may sniff an opportunity in this game but it could still be a low-scoring one.

Bournemouth played out a 2-2 draw with Sheffield United on Saturday but their three matches before that all featured under 2.5 goals and that looks like a value pick again at 13/8.

Luton have managed only 17 goals on their travels this season, while Bournemouth’s return of 14 home goals is superior only to Sheffield United and Burnley.

Bournemouth vs Luton Town tip 2: Under 2.5 goals @ 13/8 with Sky Bet

Solanke to maintain scoring run

Punters should consider a player-heavy BuildABet for this match, starting with a punt on Dominic Solanke to find the net.

The Bournemouth centre forward has struck 14 goals in the Premier League this term, averaging one every 172 minutes, and he can get on the scoresheet again.

Justin Kluivert is another of Bournemouth’s attacking aces but rather than backing him to score or assist, punters should select him to commit two or more fouls. The forward has committed 35 in the league this term – more than any other Cherries player.

Complete the BuildABet with Issa Kabore to be carded. Luton have not been the worst offenders when it comes to cards but tensions will rise in the weeks ahead as their relegation battle intensifies.

Kabore, who has been shown six yellow cards this season, is a worthwhile pick to be booked.

Bournemouth vs Luton Town tip 3 BuildABet: Dominic Solanke to score, Justin Kluivert to commit two or more fouls and Issa Kabore to be carded @ 5/1 with Sky Bet
