It's Bowl Season and it's time to speculate on who's coming to ring in the new year in Glendale in PlayStation Fiesta Bowl’s 50th anniversary game.

Bowl season projections put USC, a Big Ten team in Fiesta Bowl. The Rose and Sugar Bowls are going to take the best four teams.

The Orange Bowl has a contract with the ACC, SEC and Big Ten. Miami and North Carolina State are in the mix to play Texas A&M, Florida, Northwestern or Indiana in Orange on Jan. 2. The Cotton, Fiesta and Peach Bowls are also open.

Neither the Pac-12 nor the best underdog contender are represented in the New Year's Six. USC is the highest-ranked Pac 12 team. It's a short bus trip from Los Angeles to suburban Phoenix. The best team in Pac12 might be Colorado. USC has the edge unless there's some surprise at the top of the standings.

The Fiesta Bowl has a reputation as a springboard for up-and-coming programs. BYU, Cincinnati and Indiana are potential opponents for USC. The Hoosiers beat Wisconsin. The game will take place in Glendale, Arizona. It will be played in the new year. USC and Cincinnati are the favorites. Indiana is a team from a traditionally powerful conference. They are a new team. California is the favorite. UCF is an underdog. Cincinnati is undefeated. Utah, Boise State and UCf are also potential contenders.

There are early predictions for the college football season. Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas A&M, Iowa State and Georgia are the favourites. Florida, Miami and Florida State are also in contention.
