Braves vs. Cubs prediction and odds for Sunday, August 6 (Steele gives Cubs the advantage)

The Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs will wrap up their weekend series on Sunday afternoon and I firmly believe Chicago is in a great spot to finish the series off with a win.

Let's dive into the odds for the game and then I'll break down why I like the Cubbies on Sunday.

Justin Steele will get the start for the Cubs on Sunday, which I think gives them a significant advantage in this matchup.

Not only is he 12-3 with a 2.65 ERA this season, but the Braves have struggled against left-handed pitchers over the past month. In fact, over the last 30 days their OPS drops from .859 against right-handed pitchers down to 5.68 against lefties.

They're also batting just .179 against lefties over that time frame.

Meanwhile, Charlie Morton (3.62 ERA) will get the start for the Cubs, and Chicago has been the best team in the Majors against right-handed pitchers over the past month. They're batting .303 against righties over that time frame while sporting an OPS of .912.

I'm surprised the red-hot Cubs are underdogs at home on Sunday, so I won't hesitate to bet on them.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
