Last night, Milwaukee went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base during a 4-2 road loss. 

Thirty year old right-hander Brandon Woodruff (3-1 2.70 ERA) will make his eighth start of the season for the Brewers. Last time out, Woodruff (6 IP) gave up two runs and struck out eight batters during a 3-2 road loss against Chicago. 

The Pittsburgh Pirates are four games below .500 at home and a distant fourth place in the division standings. During Monday’s home victory, Pittsburgh OF Jack Suwinskitied the game with a two-run blast and 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes delivered the go-ahead solo shot. SP Luis Ortiz (4-4) allowed two runs in six innings to earn the win for the Pirates, who improved to 63-74 overall.

Pittsburgh manager Derek Shelton has yet to announce a starting pitcher for this game. The Pirates currently rank 20th in the majors with a 4.50 team ERA and have notched 47 quality starts. 

Pittsburgh SS Oneil Cruz (ankle) was shut down on his running program and is unlikely to return this season. Through 137 games, Milwaukee ranks 25th in OPS and 19th in runs scored.
