College football is onto Week 6 and just 22 teams remain undefeated. We’re previewing matchups for three of those teams: the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines, plus the much-anticipated No. 3 Texas vs. No. 12 Oklahoma matchup.

Let’s start with the odds for Michigan.

The Wolverines are killing it this year. They should remain undefeated this week, too, as they take on the 3-2 Minnesota Golden Gophers. Michigan is a whopping 19-point favorite against Minnesota, even though the game is on the Gopher’s home grass.

Here are the latest odds for the Big 10 matchup from Caesars Sportsbook.

Michigan is on the road again this week, packing up and heading to Minneapolis for a matchup against the Golden Gophers.

The two teams don’t play every year and haven’t had a head-to-head since 2020. Coach Harbaugh has a 3-0 record against them, though, and usually wins by double digits.

The Wolverines are one of college football’s 22 remaining undefeated teams, and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change this week. Minnesota isn’t a huge test, of course. Michigan’s big tests won’t start until November 11 when they play No. 6 Penn State. Following, on November 25 they will play No. 4 Ohio State.

On the Minnesota side, the Gophers are 3-2 and 1-1 in the Big 10, with a win over Nebraska and a loss to Northwestern.

Their quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis has been pretty inconsistent, with eight interceptions in their five games so far. The offense is rushing for 193 yards per game but just has 342 yards of total offense.

19 is a huge spread, but the 2023 Michigan Wolverines have surpassed that number in every game so far.

Here’s how they’ve stacked up in terms of winning margin:

  • East Carolina by 27 points
  • UNLV by 28 points
  • Bowling Green by 25 points
  • Rutgers by 24 points
  • Nebraska by 38 points

All over 19 points.

Both Michigan and Minnesota have played Nebraska, so that’s a nice comparison point, too. They both beat the Cornhuskers, but Minnesota only managed it by three points.

We’re going Michigan against the spread for Saturday’s matchup.

The most anticipated matchup of Week 6 is the annual Red River Shootout: a rivalry match between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Both teams are undefeated so far, with Texas ranking No. 3 and OU ranking No. 12. Only one will come out 6-0.

The game is on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and you can watch on ESPN and Fubo.
